When my latest book was finally published I was thrilled. I thought that was the end of my work. But I was WRONG. Turns out actually writing the book is just the beginning (which I'd already learned) and now the work begins to promote it.
Contacting book reviewers is one facet of book promotion. The next part was updating my website with the new book cover and information (https://www.unbreakyourhealth.com) which turned out to be a bigger challenge than expected, as usual. As long as I was messing around with the home page on my website I decided since it was January to update all of the copyright information too. Again, it sounds easier than it really is for a non-programmer. No sooner did I get all of that done than my publisher noted that Google says my website doesn't work for mobile users which apparently are now 50% of Internet users. It works on my phone, but that's another story.
Anyway, now my publisher wants me to redesign my entire website next summer and change it from HTML to something called CSS which will make it better for cell phones. First I have to finish writing the next project he's assigned me. While it's nice to have work to look forward to I'm not sure computer stuff is anything I really look forward to.
